Social Media
A couple of very entertaining pieces about what surely is the largest addiction problem of the twenty-first century.
- @DebraSnider wrote this wonderful article describing her relationship (and many others of us) with Twitter.
- @lizandlisa entertain with their thoughts on friending your ex on Facebook.
Moms, and Moms-to-be
It's well known that mom bloggers are a very prolific and influential group - until this week, I had no idea just how true this was. Plenty of tales and resources this week from moms, including one that amassed a massive 900 views within a mere couple of days.
- @SandyCalico writes about taking her two boys to playgroup.
- @omgpregnant discusses possibly the most controversial question facing moms-to-be.
- @mummytips tells us of her irrational hates. Sponge Bob is #1.
- @mumstheboss explains how not to feel guilty as a parent.
- @Caroljs entertains us with the Evil Mummy scream and visiting relatives.
- @strollerreviews lists those strollers that are good for the environment, too.
- @clareybabble details the pressure and decisions "after the blue line shows up."
- @Tracy_tp explains an unforeseen challenge of having two children, one autistic.
Music, Pictures, and Video
One of the nicest features of Posterous is its support for media files. Here's some of the posts that have taken advantage of this.
- @RohanLikhite is now a resident contributor to the site, specializing in "design, internet, life" and making many media submissions. This week he looks at
- setting your iTunes equalizer,
- a track from electro-rock band Pendulum,
- the new version of Honda's intelligent robot,
- a President Obama photo gallery,
- and a Destroy Twitter theme.
- @vwallop shows us an intriguing installation of pianos throughout the City of London.
Life stories
There's one reason many of us got into blogging - we're all experts on at least one subject - ourselves. Here's a few.
- @goonerjamie returned with a post that asks, how did he end up being a househusband?
- @cafebebe tells of how, after moving to the UK, she misses the Fourth Of July.
- @mummytips explains how Amsterdam airport in the morning is no fun at all.
And... Tea!
Another pleasant surprise that I didn't foresee. I'm encouraging diversity in posts, so occasionally a surprise subject will come up, and perhaps other guests would like to follow up. This week, it's tea.
- @englishteastore gives us a crash course in types of tea.
- @RohanLikhite shows us a stylish, attractive and very expensive teapot.
Thank you all for your submissions this week. Have a great #followfriday, everyone.
